Snorting Out the Election by the New York Times. Classic Propaganda in Tears
The Times
The political plotting of the Walter Duranty Papers[1][2][3]—aka [the near-bankrupt] New York Times –is adjusted daily and circumspectly infused with the appropriate level of tears, whining, faux concern for the ‘poor’ and other socialist nostrums while demanding that the government take away more and more of the citizen’s money by theft or, using the more esoteric term cleptocracy, and spend it wisely. Today, the emotional rebuttal against the Republicans’ victory is offered and it is pathetic at best. This is fun reading.

The propaganda sirens blast away on the first paragraph:
“Tuesday’s election was indeed a “shellacking” for the Democrats, as President Obama admitted after a long night of bad news. It was hardly an order from the American people to discard the progress of the last two years and start over again.”[5]—
It was a marching order. The
When Paul Ryan controls the purse strings [House Budget Chair] then we need to think about this:
“The president whose agenda was just repudiated yesterday needs to change and come in our direction, and it's up to him whether he does it or not," said Ryan, whose platform as party point man on fiscal issues was further elevated by Tuesday's election.”[6]—quote from Paul Ryan.
Our direction, patently stated, is diametrically opposite to the wild spending and corrosive debt incurred by the Obama types who are socialists in the least and more than sloppy[7] in the longer run. So the opening paragraph seems to tell us that despite the Obama failures we should continue to pump more of our wealth into phony and failure-oriented social and economic programs that do not work. So, now some damage control and intimidation toward the Republicans is in order. We expect bawling, threats, entreaties, quests for boons and grubbing in the latrines for money, as usual. Soon, the Race or Nazi Cards will be played. We are not disappointed by this editorial. They are burnt deep in the id and the smell of acrid flesh and hair haunts the atmosphere in this paper as they whine away on this screed.
The propaganda continues to surge onward:
“Mr. Obama was on target when he said voters howled in frustration at the slow pace of economic recovery and job creation. To borrow his running automotive metaphor, voters threw the keys at Republicans and told them to drive for a while, but gave almost no indication of what direction to drive in.”—Sorting Out the Election
The utter cheek of this editorial, if you can call it that, is to claim that this repudiation of the socialist policies of Obama was not clearly stated in banner, noise and song and that the voters who were complaining about socialized medicine, high taxes, government spending, phony stimulus programs and interference in markets and particularly in General Motors were vague at best. Not so. The states may well have lost 700 Democrats from their legislative seats before this is over. Well, gee, Mr. Wizard, maybe we should just ignore the voters and do whatever Obama wants and spend more and more. This will halt abruptly.
This approach is typical of leftist screeds. First we are told that Obama was not rejected for his actions [outright lie] and now that the path forward is not clear [outleft[8] lie]. We must presume, then, that continuing on with the liberals in some ‘bipartisan’ approach [like Harry Reid suggests[9]] is the better passageway. Reid who never wanted to compromise now wants to compromise. Reid can go soak his bunny[10] in the creek if they have any in Searchlight, NV.
In most propaganda pieces the opening salvo is fast and furious and sets the tone. The later elements suggest some more reasons to hate the opposition or glubber for alms for the ‘poor’ or other schemes of poltroonery. In circular fashion the recommendations are added in proof from the contents of the theme. This is all hooey but that is how they want to work it.
Now some number mongering:
“Republican leaders, who will take over the House and have a bigger minority in the Senate, say they heard the American people tell them to repeal the “monstrosity” of health care reform, in the words of the likely House speaker, John Boehner. In fact, the American people said no such thing. In polls of Tuesday’s voters, only 18 percent said health care was the nation’s top issue. While 48 percent of voters said they wanted to repeal the health care law, 47 percent said they wanted to keep it the way it is or expand it — hardly a roaring consensus.”—Sorting Out the Election
Previous polls showed 70% of the populace was unhappy with socialized medicine. This new ‘poll’ is cherry-picked to make an invalid point that there is still some indecision among the voters on this hot issue. The voters want this wreckage torn down and trashed forever. The big poll was the election on Tuesday and already the left are attempting to redact history.
Blame is placed and re-placed upon the sins of the past.

If Julius Caesar had listened to the sage he might have escaped the Ides of March. This is true, but Obama told us he ‘had a solution to the economic problems” and promised to fix things with his impressive Ivy League financial advisors, recently sent packing for failing in their jobs. It is clear that Obama has no talent for this and the people know it. None of his programs have worked. He is a failure.
The Mandated New Roadmap for the Winners:
“The new Republican officeholders will have to quickly address the economic pain and fear expressed by the voters who flocked to them in frustration. But it does those voters no good to say the answer is as simple as cutting discretionary government spending. It is time to show how cuts would lead to jobs and to specify which ones should be made — and how they plan to reduce the deficit while also preserving the Bush-era tax cuts.”—Sorting Out the Election
Paraphrased: “show us the details so we can criticize them and hold you to account.”
This is amusingly sticky and whiney as now the very tasks haughtily assumed by Obama and his familiars appear to be on this same list for the Republicans to follow to the letter and solve satisfactorily. It was Obama who promised new jobs and which ones [green stuff] and now the deficits, ignored by Obama and Paul Krugman.[11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35][36][37][38][39][40][41][42][43][44][45][46]
[47][48][49], are important and then the assumption that we would include the hated Bush-era tax cuts are thrown in as a given. Obama can always veto this. It will be interesting to see if he does.
This is quite an intricate and progressive mandate for the winners.
And more blubbering:
“He proposed finding common ground on energy policy, developing domestic natural gas resources and encouraging electric cars. He took Republicans up on their offer to start banning earmarks, while urging greater investment in infrastructure. And he acknowledged that he could have done more to change
Common ground means Cap and Trade taxes, punishments and higher taxes for the oil and gas and coal industries and the quest for phony and expensive little electric cars that are safety hazards and death traps. Obama never offered anything in ‘common ground’ on these topics because he is an ideological racist, a near Marxian socialist and an in competent when it comes to both finding solutions and how to pick advisors to find those solutions. He hired Czars with unlimited powers to dictate policies to business and the rest of the economy. This is his ‘common ground’ message: drop dead you Republicans. Earmarks have metastasized immensely with Obama. This is pathetic.

The propaganda piece ends with tears and threats and other problems and an entreaty to “join in governing” while essentially not rejecting any of Obama’s lousy ideas and failed programs. This piece cannot find a single failed program of the phony Obama Administration. Note a single one.
Marching orders for Republicans:
“The question is how the Republicans will act. For two years, they have refused to cooperate on any of those ideas, simply to deny Mr. Obama a policy victory and try to reduce his re-election prospects. If they are serious about accepting Tuesday’s mantle, they will join in governing and not simply posturing.”—Sorting Out the Election
Getting Obama and his surly autocratic parasites out of the White House is still first on the agenda. He is a failure and everybody on the planet knows it and even he recognizes this fact. The opposition will now ‘govern’ the pocket book until Obama is gone.
